چکیده
Abstract Solving the road congestion problem is one of most pressing issues in modern cities since it causes time wasting, pollution, higher industrial costs and huge maintenance costs. Advances ITS technologies advent autonomous vehicles are changing mobility dramatically. They enable implementation a coordination mechanism, called coordinated traffic assignment, among sat-nav devices aiming at assigning paths to drivers eliminate reduce total travel networks. Among possible avoidance methods, assignment valuable choice does not involve investments expand network. Traffic assignments traditionally devoted two main perspectives on which well-known Wardropian principles inspired: user equilibrium system optimum. User user-driven each chooses convenient path selfishly. It guarantees that fairness users respected since, when reached, all sharing same origin destination will experience time. The drawback minimized and, hence, so-called Price Anarchy paid. On other hand, optimum an efficient system-wide routed network such way minimized, but might times than travelling from destination, affecting compliance. Thus, drawbacks implementing can be overcome by hybridizing approaches, bridging users’ efficiency. In last decades, significant number attempts have been done bridge efficiency assignments. survey reviews state-of-the-art these trade-off approaches.

Integrating System Optimum and User Equilibrium in Traffic Assignment via Evolutionary Search and Multiagent Reinforcement Learning
Traffic assignment is fundamentally a tool for transportation planning. It allocates trips within the traffic network. However, modern uses of traffic assignment also include shorter time horizons and even real-time use (e.g., for route recommendation). In the latter case, it is interesting to recommend routes that are as close as possible to the system optimum. To compute an approximation of t...
متن کاملRoute guidance: Bridging system and user optimization in traffic assignment
In this paper we study the problem of the assignment of road paths to vehicles. Due to the assumption that a low percentage of vehicles follow the routes proposed by route guidance systems (RGS) and the increase of the use of the same, the conventional RGSs might shortly result obsolete. Assuming a complete road network information at the disposal of RGSs, their proposed paths are related with ...

متن کاملA Schedule-based User Equilibrium Traffic Assignment Model
Equilibrium traffic assignment models exist to deal with a range of observational uncertainties. Perhaps the most well known is the stochastic user equilibrium model, incorporating random perceptual terms to represent components of drivers’ disutility that are not explained through observed attributes (Sheffi, 1985). The uncertainty represented by such a model is from the viewpoint of the model...
